The Team You're Joining

  • SFOC is a nonprofit organization working to accelerate South Korea's transition to a low-carbon economy through energy transition and industrial decarbonization.
  • We go beyond research and policy proposals - our team turns complex climate, energy, and industrial issues into social agendas that drive real change.

How You'll Contribute

  • Lead strategic external communications of research findings related to climate, energy, and industrial transition
  • Build and manage media relations, and develop press releases, feature articles, op-eds, and interview messages
  • Develop and execute PR strategies based on issue analysis
  • Collaborate with researchers to reframe policy messages in a public-friendly manner

Who We're Looking For

  • Native proficiency in Korean
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Ability to write and structure messages that convey complex policy and industry issues clearly and persuasively
  • Strong understanding of the domestic media landscape
  • Strategic thinking and execution skills regarding public issues
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience in news organizations, PR firms, or public relations at public institutions
  • Understanding of energy transition, industrial decarbonization, ESG, and climate policy
  • Network of key media contacts such as journalists and editors (experience with conservative-leaning media or business publications is a plus)
  • Ability to utilize generative AI and data-driven communication tools
