The Team You're Joining

  • The Steel Team works to drive structural change in the steel industry's transition toward decarbonization, building broad coalitions with civil society to support this work.
  • This role focuses on building and sustaining solidarity networks with domestic NGOs and civil society organizations engaged on the climate impact of the steel industry.

How You'll Contribute

  • Build and maintain active solidarity through ongoing communication with domestic NGOs and civil society organizations on the climate impact of the steel industry
  • Plan, propose, and lead solidarity campaigns related to this work
  • Handle the operational work involved in managing the network and sustaining its activities
  • Continuously monitor the activities of relevant organizations and regional issues

Who We're Looking For

  • Understanding of civil society, civil society organizations, and solidarity work
  • Strong communication skills, both within teams, across teams, and with stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, prepare, and execute campaigns
  • Clear goal setting ability and a results oriented mindset
  • Understanding of the climate impact of the energy and industrial sectors

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in civil society
  • Experience in climate change related activities or campaigns
  • Experience working in regions outside Seoul
  • Understanding of issues related to the steel industry, climate, and energy
