The Team You're Joining

  • SFOC's Climate Finance Team works to promote the phase-out of coal and encourage a stronger climate response across the financial industry, including pension funds, banking, insurance, asset owners, and asset management.

How You'll Contribute

  • Analyze potential climate-related financial risks of carbon-intensive Korean companies
  • Conduct policy research that could help accelerate the decarbonization of the financial industry
  • Analyze policy issues and engage stakeholders on the decarbonization of the financial sector
  • Support other relevant tasks within the Climate Finance Team

Who We're Looking For

  • Working level proficiency in Korean and English
  • Passion for the climate crisis and climate justice
  • Critical and strategic thinking, with strong report writing skills
  • Adaptability and agility to drive work forward in high uncertainty environments
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and partner organizations

Nice to Have

  • A graduate degree (master's or higher) in a climate, environment, or finance related field
  • Work experience in financial institutions, corporations, media, civil society, climate response, or policy research
  • Relevant experience at NGOs or NPOs
