Introduction
Mission: Founded in 2016, Solutions for our Climate (SFOC) has a mission to accelerate the world’s transition from fossil fuel to fossil free. Recognizing the urgency of the climate crisis, we work with the ambition to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit global warming below 1.5c.
Focus Areas: We currently focus on three main areas: phase out of fossil fuels, renewable energy expansion, and industrial decarbonization, utilizing a range of tactics, including research, communications, diplomacy, community advocacy and legal actions. We work with key stakeholders to foster strategic discussions and address priority climate agendas.
Values: We believe that climate solutions come from people. Thus, we are committed to investing in a community of dedicated individuals who aim to create breakthroughs with innovative strategies.

Job Description
SFOC designs campaign strategies across the Asia-Pacific region to accelerate energy transition and raise climate ambition. We are seeking a Development Associate who can support grants management and developmental engagement across our programs and communicate our initiatives internally and externally. The ideal candidate has grants writing experience, excellent communication skills, and exposure to nonprofit and/or philanthropic organizations, along with campaigning and/or fundraising experience and passion to address climate change.

기후솔루션은 지구의 평균 기온 상승을 1.5°C내로 제한하자는 파리 협정의 목표에 맞게 온실가스를 가장 효과적으로 감축한다는 목표로 2016년 한국에서 출범하였습니다.
‘전 세계 탈 화석 연료 및 재생에너지 전환의 가속화’라는 단체의 미션 하에 기후 위기 대응을 위해 가장 시급하게 해결되어야 하는 주제를 지속적으로 발굴 및 확장하며, 다양한 이해관계자들과 협력해 실질적인 변화를 촉진하고 있습니다.
기후솔루션은 현재 탈화석연료, 산업 탈탄소화, 재생에너지 확대 등 크게 3개 부문을 중점으로 활동합니다. 효과적인 기후위기 대응을 위해 연구, 커뮤니케이션, 외교, 법률, 시민사회 연대 등 다양한 방법을 활용하여 변화를 가속화 합니다.
기후 위기 대응에 가장 중요한 열쇠는 ‘사람’이라는 믿음으로, 다양한 분야에서 전문성을 쌓은 인재들과 함께 기후 대응 활동을 펼치고 있습니다. 기후솔루션은 해결책을 찾기 위한 전략적 경로에 제한을 두지 않고, 기존에 없던 창의적인 방법으로 접근합니다.

Job Description

The Development Associate will support the Development team with the following:
Responsibilities
- Working with program leads to draft grant proposals and report on progress toward campaign objectives
- Identifying potential partners and conducting outreach on joint activities
- Coordinating events to support developmental engagement
- Managing relationships with funders and partners
- Collaborating with program teams to shape effective funder-targeted narratives
- Detail oriented, strong organization skills & ability to meet deadlines
- Analytical thinking and drafting skills
- Strategic networking and convening skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Proactive with a strong sense of ownership
- Respect for diversity, inclusivity and the mission, vision, and values of SFOC
- Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills
- Korean: Fluent or full professional working proficiency
- More than 12months of related work experience
- Passion for climate action and justice
- Grant writing experience
- Exposure to nonprofits and/or philanthropic organizations
- Campaigning, fundraising, marketing, or business development experience
- Experience with CRM software
- Background in climate and/or one of SFOC's main work areas (energy, climate finance, industry, communications, etc)
- English or Korean Cover Letter and Resume (in PDF format)

- 1-year contract, renewal based on team feedback, with a review for permanent employment after 2 years of continuous service.

- 전략 공유 및 개발을 지원하기 위한 이벤트 조정
- Funder 및 파트너와의 관계 관리
- 리더십과 협력하여 영향력 있는 새로운 프로그램 구축

- 분석적 사고 및 초안 작성 능력

- 기후 및/또는 에너지 관련 배경
