‘전 세계 탈 화석 연료 및 재생에너지 전환의 가속화’라는 단체의 미션 하에 기후 위기 대응을 위해 가장 시급하게 해결되어야 하는 주제를 지속적으로 발굴 및 확장하며, 다양한 이해관계자들과 협력해 실질적인 변화를 촉진하고 있습니다.
기후솔루션은 현재 탈화석연료, 산업 탈탄소화, 재생에너지 확대 등 크게 3개 부문을 중점으로 활동합니다. 효과적인 기후위기 대응을 위해 리서치, 커뮤니케이션, 외교, 리걸, 시민사회 연대 등 다양한 택틱을 활용하여 변화를 가속화합니다.

팀 소개
SFOC의 에너지 프로그램은 공정하고 신뢰할 수 있는 전력 시장을 구축하여 재생에너지를 확대하는 것을 목표로 합니다. SFOC는 전력 시스템에서 적절한 거버넌스와 시장 제도를 도입하여 재생에너지 및 유연성 자원에 대한 불공정성을 해소하며, 구식의 전력시스템에 맞서 기업의 목소리를 조직함으로써 재생에너지 중심의 공정한 전력 시장을 조성하고자 합니다.
상세 직무
SFOC는 전략적 연구, 정책 지원, 소송, 기업 참여 등의 다양한 활동을 지원할 역량 있는 정책분석가를 찾고 있습니다. 해당 직무는 재생에너지의 빠른 확대를 촉진하는 동시에 중장기적으로 필수적인 전력 시장 개혁을 추진하기 위한 정책 제안을 마련하고, 관련 캠페인 활동을 주도하는 역할을 담당합니다. 이를 위해 SFOC의 전력 팀은 NGO 및 다양한 이해관계자와 협력하고, 국내외 기업 파트너들과 직접 소통하며 변화를 만들어갈 것입니다.

Organization Description
SFOC was established in South Korea in 2016 with the goal of most effectively reducing greenhouse gases in line with the Paris Agreement's target to limit the global average temperature increase to within 1.5°C.
Under the mission of 'Accelerating the Global Transition to Renewable Energy and Phasing Out Fossil Fuels,' we continuously identify and expand on the most urgent issues that need to be addressed to combat the climate crisis. By collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, we promote tangible change.
SFOC currently focuses on three major areas: Fossil Fuel Phase-Out, Industrial Decarbonization, and Renewable Energy Expansion. To drive effective climate crisis response, we employ a variety of tactics including research, communication, diplomacy, legal action, and civil society alliances.
Believing that 'People' are the key to tackling the climate crisis, we work alongside experts from various fields to engage in climate action. SFOC embraces a creative approach, unrestricted by conventional strategies, to find solutions.
We collaborate with partners in Korea, other parts of Asia, and around the world. Centered on climate agendas that SFOC emphasizes, we aim to grow as a key organization in the global response to the climate crisis.
Job Description
SFOC’s energy program aims to expand renewable energy by establishing a fair and reliable power market. It seeks to achieve this by introducing appropriate governance and market design in power sector regulations, addressing the unfair treatment of renewables and flexibility resources, and amplifying the corporate voice against Korea’s outdated power sector.
SFOC is seeking a motivated Policy Analyst to support its various approaches, including strategic research, policy advocacy, litigation, and corporate engagement. Specifically, the campaign manager/associate will work on developing policy recommendations and leading campaigns that facilitate the rapid expansion of renewable electricity and promote much needed power market reforms in the medium to long term. SFOC’s power team will do this by collaborating with NGOs and other stakeholders and engaging directly with Korean and multinational partners.

Specifically, the campaign manager/associate will work on developing policy recommendations and leading campaigns that facilitate the rapid expansion of renewable electricity and promote much needed power market reforms in the medium to long term. SFOC’s power team will do this by collaborating with NGOs and other stakeholders and engaging directly with Korean and multinational partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement campaign strategies related to key areas of activity.
- Lead policy campaigns and manage overall operations
- Conduct research on policies and the landscape related to renewable energy and power market system
- Engage in coalition activities through communication with domestic and international stakeholders
- Collaborate with SFOC’s other program and network teams
- Continuously monitor work processes and provide internal feedback
- 1-5+ years of work experience
- Proficiency in Korean and English at a working level
- Strategic thinking and effective communication skills (including report writing ability)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and respond agilely
- Understanding and passion for sustainability and carbon neutrality issues in the power sector
- Alignment with the vision and mission of SFOC, with leadership qualities
- Respect for diversity and an inclusive organizational culture
- Familiarity with the Korean government or corporate structure and culture
- Experience and proven track record in managing relationships with both working-level and senior executives
- Experience in multicultural and multilingual work environments
