Solscient Energy is a fully vertically integrated commercial solar installer founded in 2010 in Toledo, OH. We have installed more than 40 megawatts of solar systems in the last 15 years with the majority located in the Goshen/Elkhart area. We specialize in helping businesses reduce their reliance on expensive utility electric power with onsite solar, allowing them to substantially lower their energy costs while increasing operational sustainability.


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented solar installer to join our renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial and utility scale solar arrays. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and collaborating with both customers and team members to ensure safe, efficient installations.


Additionally, this role will require periodic travel depending on jobsite location. Most business is centered in Northern Indiana but we do have projects in the schedule further afield (Northern Ohio, Southern Indiana). We will pay a per diem when jobsites are located far enough away to require overnight stays.


We are a small but effective team looking to add some new talent. There is opportunity to grow both your pay and responsibilities based on your performance in the job. Pay starts at $21/hr for a probationary period of 3 months and then rises to $23/hr from there. Per diem will be paid at $150/day when traveling.


Requirements

-High school diploma

-Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

-Comfortable working on rooftops and using scissor lifts or ladders to access the roof

-Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions

-Capable of lifting 50lbs and standing and walking throughout the day


Skills (Let us know if you are familiar with these items, not required but nice to have)

-Comfortable using hand tools and power tools to assemble and install components

-Familiarity working with electrical components and electrified systems

-Any experience in the solar industry
