Position Summary
SolBid is seeking a high performing Enterprise Business Development Executive to drive corporate adoption of SolBid's renewable energy platform and sustainability solutions.
This role is responsible for developing and closing enterprise level opportunities with commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations seeking to reduce energy costs, improve sustainability performance, mitigate operational risk, and achieve ESG objectives.
The ideal candidate understands how energy decisions are made within large organizations and can effectively engage CFOs, CEOs, Sustainability Directors, Facilities Leaders, Procurement teams, and Corporate Real Estate stakeholders. This individual must be capable of translating complex renewable energy solutions into clear financial, operational, and sustainability outcomes that resonate with executive decision makers.
Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, deep understanding of corporate energy challenges, and the ability to position SolBid as a strategic partner rather than simply a renewable energy provider.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Sales & Business Development
- Identify, develop, and close new enterprise opportunities for solar, energy storage, microgrids, EV charging, and other renewable energy solutions.
- Build and maintain executive level relationships within target accounts.
- Develop multi stakeholder sales strategies across finance, operations, sustainability, procurement, and executive leadership teams.
- Generate and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through contract execution.
- Negotiate commercial terms and coordinate internal resources to support deal closure.
- Achieve and exceed annual sales and revenue targets.
Executive Advisory Selling
- Engage CFOs and financial decision makers on capital allocation, energy cost reduction, risk mitigation, and return on investment.
- Engage Sustainability and ESG leaders on carbon reduction strategies and corporate sustainability commitments.
- Present business cases that demonstrate financial, operational, and environmental value.
- Translate renewable energy opportunities into executive level outcomes and strategic initiatives.
- Deliver boardroom quality presentations and financial analyses.
Market Development
- Develop strategic relationships with industry associations, consultants, energy advisors, and corporate decision makers.
- Monitor market trends, utility rate changes, incentives, regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
- Identify emerging opportunities across commercial and industrial sectors.
- Represent SolBid at conferences and executive networking events.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with software development, project operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Coordinate customer requirements with SolBid's project delivery teams.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product and service innovation.
- Maintain accurate opportunity forecasting and CRM management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
- 5+ years of enterprise sales, business development, or strategic account management experience.
- Proven experience selling complex solutions with deal sizes exceeding $1M
- Demonstrated success engaging C-Suite executives and enterprise decision makers.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, ROI modeling, and business case development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales pipeline management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy, energy storage, sustainability, energy procurement, facilities management, commercial real estate, or related industries.
- Understanding of utility rate structures, energy markets, and renewable energy financing.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and corporate sustainability initiatives.
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000, large commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, manufacturing, retail, logistics, or data center organizations.
