We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of commercial solar projects, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Commercial Solar Installer, you will be a key member of our installation crew, working on a variety of projects in the 100kW to 1MW range across Southern California.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Layout, assembly, and installation of solar arrays and mounting hardware on various roof types, carports and ground mounts.
  • Installation of all mechanical and components of the solar energy system.
  • Assistance in installation of inverters, conduit, wiring, and system monitoring devices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, single-line diagrams, and construction documents to ensure the system is built to plan.
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner, strictly adhering to all company and OSHA safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and cared for.
  • Work collaboratively with the Foreman, Project Manager, and other crew members to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Safely operate company commercial vehicles and maintain a clean driving record.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial solar installation, with a focus on projects ranging from 100kW to 1MW.
  • Understanding of NEC and local building codes.
  • Experience with various racking systems, module and inverter technologies.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Must have your own set of required hand tools. Specialty tools will be provided.
  • Valid California Driver's License and the ability to operate a commercial vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • OSHA 10 minimum OSHA 30 highly preferred.

  • Telehandler Training Certification
  • CA Journeyman Electrician Card
  • NABCEP Certification
  • Any specialized training regarding health and safety (e.g., First Aid/CPR, Rigging & Signaling).


Work Logistics:

  • This position operates out of our El Cajon, CA office.
  • Team members have the option to meet at the office and depart for the job site before 7:00 AM or travel directly to the job site.
  • The majority of projects are located in Southern California.
  • Occasional travel to assist other teams outside the primary service area may be required.
