  • Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and reporting procedures within the project team.
  • Coach and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and site personnel to strengthen technical competencies, leadership capabilities, and project delivery performance.
  • Provide regular project updates, progress reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to the Project Director and senior management.
2. Engineering & Technical Management
  • Oversee electrical engineering design, including AC/DC cable sizing, protection coordination, earthing, equipment selection, and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
  • Review engineering drawings, technical submissions, method statements, risk assessments, and material specifications to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Ensure designs and installations comply with applicable Singapore Standards, electrical codes, building requirements, and relevant authority regulations.
  • Lead technical coordination with QPs, Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs), SP Group, SCDF, and other relevant authorities where required.
  • Identify and resolve engineering issues, design discrepancies, site constraints, and interface challenges.
  • Review Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and material requirements to support effective procurement and minimise wastage.
  • Apply sound engineering judgement to develop practical and cost-effective solutions for complex installation and brownfield conditions.
3. Construction & Site Execution
  • Direct and coordinate site operations across multiple projects to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution.
  • Manage construction activities in both new-build and brownfield environments, including installations within operational facilities where access, shutdowns, and work sequencing require careful coordination.
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, access arrangements, lifting activities, and work schedules to optimise productivity.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, project specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress against the baseline schedule and implement recovery plans where necessary.
  • Coordinate work interfaces with other trades, building management, facility operators, and existing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct site inspections and progress reviews to identify potential delays, safety concerns, quality issues, and construction risks.
