CSR Fundraising Consultant
Solar Village Social Services Project Foundation (SVSSPF)
About us
SVSSPF provides reliable, affordable solar power for underserved schools, clinics, street-lighting, and community resiliency hubs. We operate primarily in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Puerto Rico, with over 110 completed projects and a strong O&M backbone.
Role snapshot
We’re seeking an experienced CSR Fundraising Consultant to run a focused 8–12 week push to source, engage, and convert Indian corporate CSR partners. You’ll own the prospecting engine end-to-end, open doors with CSR decision-makers, align projects to Schedule VII priorities, and drive proposals to signed MoUs/grants.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting & Pipeline
- Build a curated list of 40–60 CSR prospects aligned to education, healthcare, climate resilience, energy access, and disaster mitigation.
- Map decision-makers (CSR heads, ESG leads, foundation managers) and develop contact strategies.
Positioning & Outreach
- Craft crisp outreach copy, capability decks, and one-pagers tailored to each prospect.
- Secure discovery calls and site-visit opportunities; manage meeting cadence and next steps.
Proposal & Conversion
- Translate needs assessments into CSR-fit concepts and budgets; draft proposals and MoUs.
- Align to India CSR policy (Companies Act Section 135, CSR Rules 2014, Schedule VII) and corporate compliance needs.
- Advise on structures that reduce frictions (e.g., Grant-in-Aid, AUCs, basic GST considerations).
Compliance-aware Delivery Support
- Coordinate with our India ops team for CA certificates, utilization reports, and impact reporting plans.
- Set simple KPI frameworks (beneficiaries served, uptime, kWh, O&M plan, carbon mitigation).
Reporting & Targets
- Maintain a live pipeline with weekly summaries (reach-outs, meetings, proposals, approvals).
- Hit clear deliverables (see below).
Success metrics / deliverables (for the 8–12 week engagement)
- 40–60 qualified corporate targets identified and prioritized.
- 20–30 warm introductions / first meetings secured.
- 8–12 proposals submitted with prospect-specific budgets and timelines.
- 3–5 advanced opportunities (legal/finance review or site due diligence).
- ≥2 signed MoUs / grant commitments (or equivalent, depending on deal size and cycle).
You’ll thrive here if you have
- 5–8+ years in CSR fundraising / corporate partnerships for nonprofits or social enterprises in India.
- Demonstrated wins with Indian corporates (CSR Heads/Committees) and a strong network.
- Hands-on experience aligning projects to Schedule VII; fluency with common CSR diligence asks (company policies, CA certificates, utilization tracking, reporting calendars).
- Sharp proposal writing, budget sense, and stakeholder management.
- Organized, data-driven workflow (CRM/pipeline hygiene, weekly reporting).
- Comfortable collaborating with a lean, field-heavy team; willingness to travel for key meetings/site visits.
Nice to have
- Sector familiarity: solar/clean energy, healthcare, education, disaster resilience.
- Experience with large-cap CSR programs, employee engagement add-ons, or multi-year MoUs.
- Impact measurement know-how (simple baseline/midline/endline or focus-group frameworks).
Engagement details
- Contract: 2–3 months, extendable based on results.
- Location: India (remote/hybrid); travel for priority meetings as needed.
- Compensation: Competitive monthly retainer + performance-based bonus tied to signed MoUs/grants, aligned with our fundraising incentive policy.
- Start: ASAP.
