ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Job Description
Electrical Engineer
Reporting To: Matthew Kunze, Director of Engineering
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Job Type/Schedule: Full-Time, Salaried
About the Job
At Senergy Power Solutions, engineering isn’t a desk exercise—it’s hands-on, rugged, and mission-critical. As an Electrical Engineer II, you’ll own subsystems that power real-world missions, from concept and prototype through validation and release.
You’ll design circuits that survive heat, dust, and chaos. You’ll test, break, and rebuild in the lab. And you’ll collaborate across disciplines to bring hybrid power systems to life that don’t just work on paper—they save lives in the field.
This role is for someone with tenacity, grit, and a builder’s mindset. If you’re hungry for ownership, ready to tackle challenges head-on, and excited to see your work deployed globally, this is where you’ll thrive.
Who You Are
A builder at heart with a strong electrical engineering foundation and 2–4 years of real product development experience.
Hungry for ownership—you’ve designed, tested, and delivered systems and are ready to take on bigger subsystems.
Comfortable moving between CAD models, oscilloscopes, and cross-functional standups.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment where innovation meets grit.
Wants to push skills further, contribute to breakthrough designs, and make a global impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design + Build: Research, design, prototype, validate, and test power and control systems for ruggedized hybrid energy applications.
Document + Communicate: Generate clear schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and test reports.
Improve + Iterate: Enhance designs for performance, manufacturability, and sustainability.
Own Subsystems: Lead electrical subassemblies, balancing performance, safety, and compliance.
Prototype + Test: Build prototypes, develop test plans, and refine based on lab/field results.
Collaborate: Work closely with mechanical, production, and supply chain teams to ensure designs succeed in practice.
Engage: Contribute to design reviews and mentor Electrical Engineer I teammates.
Troubleshoot: Diagnose issues, implement improvements, and capture lessons learned.
Travel: Support fieldwork, training, or cross-site collaboration (up to 25%).
