Job Description
Solar Gain is looking for an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead commercial and utility-scale solar projects across California and Arizona. This role is perfect for someone who thrives both in the field and behind the schedule—about 50% of your time will be spent onsite ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on budget.

What You’ll Do
Manage solar project execution from kickoff through commissioning
Spend approximately 50% of your time at job sites throughout CA and AZ
Coordinate contractors, engineers, inspectors, and internal teams
Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and reporting
Ensure compliance with safety standards, permitting, and quality requirements
Lead progress meetings and serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders
Identify risks early and keep projects moving forward smoothly
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience managing solar or renewable energy construction projects
Strong understanding of EPC workflows, permitting, and field operations
Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, and subcontractors
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Comfortable traveling frequently across CA and AZ
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, etc.)
Bonus Points For
NABCEP certification
Experience with utility-scale or battery storage projects
OSHA 30 certification
A knack for solving problems before they become “surprises”
