Role Overview

As a Research Intern, Solar Energy & Sustainable Development, you will play a critical role in shaping the Alliance’s thought leadership and global knowledge outreach.


You will contribute to research-driven articles, policy insights, and analytical briefs that deepen global understanding of solar energy, renewable technologies, climate resilience, and the unique challenges of the Global South.


This internship provides exceptional exposure to international energy discourse, opportunities to collaborate with global experts, and the chance to see your work published under the Solar Futures Alliance banner recognised by practitioners, researchers, and policymakers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on solar energy, renewable technologies, climate resilience, energy access, and Global South development topics.
  • Draft short articles, research briefs, and thought pieces for publication across Solar Futures Alliance platforms.
  • Support the content and editorial team in developing engaging educational and awareness materials for diverse global audiences.
  • Analyze emerging trends, innovations, and policies shaping solar adoption and energy transition pathways.
  • Work collaboratively with experts, editors, and advisors to ensure accuracy, clarity, and global relevance of all content.

  • Students or recent graduates in Sustainability, Renewable Energy, Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, International Development, Engineering, or related disciplines.
