Solar Technician
Job Description
Spanish and English speaking preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Company Vehicle
-Maintain vehicle in good condition
-Keep inventory of materials, tools and equipment
-Report needed scheduled maintenance like oil changes or any other vehicle maintenance needs. Be willing to take vehicle to dealer for service needs.
-Maintain vehicle gas card
-Keep interior of vehicle clean and organized. Periodically sweep and sanitize interior.
-Follow all traffic laws and regulations
-Be willing to be subject to vehicle dual view dashcam
2. On-Site Technical Duties
-Be capable of setting up safety equipment like ladders, ropes and anchors. Must be courteous toward customers and not damage gutters, lawns and flower beds when setting up equipment.
-Be capable of troubleshooting various solar related issues: zero production, bad strings, unresponsive optimizers or micro inverters, critter damage issues, replacing inverters and related components, non-communication on equipment etc…
-Able to document troubleshooting steps and resolution using photos on personal phone and writing reports in company software
-Willing to learn how to process warranty claims (RMA) with manufacturers and follow up with delivery and rescheduling work with customer.
-Able to work alone unsupervised and occasionally work with other technicians
3. Customer Service
-Willing to follow daily route and schedule site visits with customers.
-Willing to interact with customers daily on-site
4. Admin & Software
-Able to download company software to keep track of projects and tasks
-Communicate with project managers and back-office about daily issues.
5. Physical
-Capable of carrying 50ILBs up and down ladders
-Capable of working on roofs
-Capable of working around electrical equipment
