Role Overview

The person will be responsible for driving Sodexo India’s sustainability and social impact agenda, with a strong focus on food sustainability, environmental responsibility, supplier diversity, and compliance. The role requires close collaboration with business leaders, internal teams, and external partners to implement impactful programs across climate action, food waste reduction, sustainable sourcing, community development, and socio-economic upliftment. The position plays a pivotal role in implementing global initiatives locally and strengthening Sodexo’s sustainability commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Sustainability & Environmental Impact
• Drive the food sustainability agenda aligned with Sodexo’s global priorities
• Implement initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and environmental footprint at the site level
• Track, understand, and assess food safety and sustainability-related risks
• Coordinate implementation of the global WasteWatch program across sites
• Collaborate with Supply Management and Food Platform teams to meet global sustainability KPIs
• Contribute innovative ideas to strengthen sustainability in food operations
• Support the development and execution of programs related to climate impact, food waste, circular economy, and sustainable sourcing
• Partner with BD teams to integrate sustainability solutions into new projects and proposals
• Share insights on global and local sustainability trends influencing food and the environment
• Track metrics and KPIs related to food sustainability and CSR initiatives
• Engage business leaders, employees, clients, and partners to deepen program impact

Qualification

• MBA in any field
• 1+ years of experience in food-related sustainability
• Understanding of carbon reduction, food waste, sustainable sourcing, and environmental programs
