Global ESG & Sustainability Management Trainee
Key Result Areas:
1) Sustainability Project Support
- Assist in planning and coordinating sustainability projects including but not limited to Solar Energy, Waste Management, Water Conservation, and Green Landscape initiatives.
- Support monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
2) Sustainability Innovation & Project Proposal Leadership
- Conduct independent research and data-driven analysis on environmental performance, resource consumption trends, and emerging sustainable technologies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement or innovation based on patterns, inefficiencies, and benchmarking against international best practices.
- Develop concept notes, project proposals, or pilot ideas addressing decarbonization, energy optimization, waste reduction, circular economy, or climate adaptation.
- Present findings and recommendations to Sustainability/ESG leadership and relevant stakeholders in an evidence-based format.
- Lead small-scale pilot testing (where applicable) under supervision, and prepare feasibility studies and impact assessments.
- Take ownership of at least one signature initiative during the internship, demonstrating leadership and solution-oriented thinking.
3) Data Analysis & Environmental Performance
- Collect and analyze data on energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1–3).
- Assist in defining Sustainability KPIs and proposing improvement measures based on quantitative insights.
- Build monthly dashboards and track progress against targets.
4) Sustainability Standards & Green Building
- Technical consultants for LEED, TREES, and WELL Building Standard.
- For future sustainable practices and certifications, support the drafting and review of sustainability policies, action plans, and gap analyses aligned with international standards.
5) Reporting & Communication
- Contribute to Sustainability Reports and Energy Reports and prepare weekly/monthly progress summaries for management.
- Create clear presentations and visualizations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
6) Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with Facility Management teams, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional departments.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and site inspections as relevant.
7) Awareness & Organizational Culture
- Assist in developing and delivering training content on Energy Saving, Waste Segregation, and Green Office practices.
- Contribute to building a sustainability culture across Facilities and the broader organization.
8) Additional Responsibilities
- Serve as a central point of contact for assigned sustainability tasks.
- Support responses to corporate sustainability assessments and external evaluations.
- Handle other tasks as assigned to support overall project success.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional preferred skills:
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, GHG Protocol, SDGs, LCA, and ESG reporting frameworks
- Interest in green building standards (LEED, WELL, TREES, BREEM, CASBEE, DGNB)
- Strong analytical and communication abilities

Logistics & Supervision
- Mentorship: Weekly check-ins with an Operations Manager/Director.
- Mode: Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on project phase; field/site visits where applicable.
