? About the Role 


SmartHelio is aggressively operating in the global clean-tech market and providing advanced Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to energy companies (mostly solar utilities). Currently, we are engaged with some of the top global clean energy companies. The incumbent will be analyzing solar PV systems' performance, helping in the development of fault detecting algorithms and managing customers (mostly European, Asian and American). The key responsibilities of this role are as follows: 

 SmartHelio is a Y Combinator-backed deep-tech startup based out of Lausanne, Switzerland. The company is operating in a clean-tech space and endeavoring to make the clean energy assets more profitable and long-lasting. As a response to the Twenty-First century’s challenges, SmartHelio came up with the idea of bringing light without heat: to accelerate the rapid adoption of sustainable energy in the face of climate change. We use the sun in a smart way, that’s why we call ourselves SmartHelio. We are trying to disrupt the conventional energy supply arrangements using electronics and AI. Therefore, we have developed an Artificial Intelligence-enabled low-cost technology for solar energy systems (including small and large-scale solar installations). ? Key Responsibilities 


  • Plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects across engineering, data science, product, and business teams 
  • Define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners/clients 
  • Track progress using appropriate project management tools and methodologies (Agile / Scrum / Hybrid) 
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; proactively propose mitigation plans 
  • Coordinate with product and engineering teams to ensure clear requirements and smooth execution 
  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and updates for leadership and clients 
  • Ensure proper documentation of project plans, decisions, and learnings 
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and collaboration 


 

✅ Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field 
  • 2-3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable industry, or tech startups 
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycles and agile project management 
  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams 
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Notion, Jira, Asana MS Project, or similar) 
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment 


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in renewable energy, solar, energy analytics, or cleantech domains 
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification 
  • Exposure to data-driven or AI/ML-based products 
  • Experience managing client-facing delivery projects
