SkyNRG is driving the development of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to speed the aviation industry's transition to net-zero emissions. Our R&D team supports this mission by scouting and developing novel technologies that can scale SAF production and strengthen the industry’s sustainability performance, creating a long-lasting impact on the future of flying.
Internship Overview
You will support the R&D team by researching various feedstock options for liquefaction routes to SAF. The activities include scouting interesting feedstock options, their availability and fit with industry liquefaction solutions. They will work closely with the technically skilled R&D team, reporting to our R&D Sr Analyst. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable aviation fuel industry, collaborating with industry experts while working in an energetic and inspiring company.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying key feedstocks for SAF production via liquefaction
- Mapping feedstock availability and identify high-concentration area’s
- Research feedstock and liquefaction technology fit
- Collaborate with liquefaction technology players
- Develop heat and material balances to inform business decision
Requirements
- Master's student with a background in science or engineering.
- Experience with liquefaction or biofuels appreciated, but not a must.
- Fluent in English
- Basic proficiency with Excel, word and PowerPoint.
- Available for a 6-month period starting in January or February.
Note: You MUST be enrolled in a university as a student for the duration of the intern

Duration and Commitment
- Full time Internship
- 32-40 hours per week
- Hybrid setup, with at least 2 days in the Amsterdam office
