Role Description
This is a part-time, Welsh-speaking role based in Wales for an Education Outreach Officer. Responsibilities include engaging with schools and young people, organizing and co-hosting outreach events, delivering workshops, fostering relationships with schools and community groups, and conducting research to support educational programs. The role requires proactive collaboration with stakeholders to raise awareness of climate issues and inspire action towards environmental sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong Community Engagement and Community Outreach skills to effectively connect with diverse groups and promote participation.
- Proficiency in Communication and Public Speaking with the ability to present ideas clearly and inspire varied audiences through the medium of Welsh.
- Event Management experience to plan, coordinate, and execute educational and outreach events.
- Research skills to source, analyze, and present accurate information on climate change and environmental topics.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with schools, organizations, and stakeholders in education and sustainability initiatives.
- Experience in environmental education, climate advocacy, or nonprofit work is an asset.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations within Wales as needed.
