Introduction 

Sirio, a specialist consulting firm focused on the energy system, is looking for a driven and resourceful analyst to join its rapidly growing team. The analyst will work alongside members of the team to support high-profile clients in the energy, utilities and public sectors. The analyst willalso play a key role in the growth of Sirio, from developing internal processes, producing intellectual property, evolving proprietary products and services and supporting business development activities.


This position offers a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to grow alongside the company and enjoy opportunities and responsibility early on.


The successful applicant can choose whether to work remotely or a full time/hybrid arrangement attending our central London office. Occasional travel to the clients’ premises in various locations across the UK will be required.

Job Description

As an analyst, you will:

  • Deliver project work under guidance from experienced team members. This will include online research, data analysis, project planning, and preparation of client deliverables such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations or Excel dashboards and related products. You will have exposure to and collaborate with client teams from the start of your experience at Sirio.
  • Undergo training sessions with experienced consultants and make use of self-training resources, made available on an ad-hoc basis to develop your skills and capabilities.
  • Contribute to the commercial activity of the firm: for example, proposing innovative ideas for products and services, supporting proposals and other client material development, performing market research to support proposal development.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property by supporting the publication of articles, research and the development of tools and products sold to clients under subscription models.
  • Contribute to the growth of Sirio as a fast-growing, young business by proposing and implementing internal initiatives aimed at a wide range of functions, from skills development, employee wellbeing, and increased productivity.

 


Qualifications 


We are looking for recent graduates (<1 year experience) or final year students characterised by the following: 

  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Degree qualified with a preference for M-level, with backgrounds in Public Policy / Environmental Sciences / Climate Change / Sustainability / ESG / Energy Systems / or similar fields of study.
  • Curious, dynamic and proactive self-thinkers with the ambition and drive to play a role in growing a nascent company.
  • Ability to deliver work independently, under guidance and supervision, and to go the extra mile to identify and suggest possible solutionsand new ways of working.
  • A genuine and demonstrable interest in the energy sector and, especially, the involvement of households and businesses in the energy system transition.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative).
  • Fluent or native in English.
  • The right to work in the UK. This role is not eligible for sponsorship. 
  • Good working knowledge of AI services, including practices for responsible use.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • The target salary for this position is £40,000 per annum. In addition to the salary, the analyst will enjoy a performance-based bonus and generous benefits (e.g. pension, health care).
