Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Net Zero Transition Programme Office
The Net Zero Transition Programme Office (NZTPO) was set up in June 2024 as a new department of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to spearhead national decarbonisation initiatives to benefit Singapore businesses. Since then, NZTPO has successfully launched national projects which have been featured in the media. These include: the Cost and Carbon Reduction Programme, the Queen Bee Enabled Sustainability Transition Programme, the Singapore Emission Factors Registry (SEFR), and the NetZeroHub Resource Portal.
We are seeking driven individuals to join our growing, high-performing team and deepen our impact in Singapore’s sustainability landscape. In this role, you will support the continued development of NetZeroHub.SG—which includes the SEFR and Resource Portal—working closely with technical partners, vendors, corporate and governmental stakeholders. While you will not be required to develop software or conduct scientific research, you will be responsible for overall content management, user experience, marketing, and the strategic enhancement of the platform. This is a nationally significant project closely followed by Singapore’s sustainability community, with direct contributions to real-world outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Support the growth and development of NetZeroHub.SG, which has two key components: Singapore Emission Factors Registry and Resource Portal.
- Lead ongoing website improvements by overseeing platform and content updates in collaboration with technical and corporate partners. This includes evaluating and optimising the user journey, coordinating site enhancements, and actively creating and curating quality sustainability content.
- Analyze and steward platform usage data to generate actionable insights that drive product enhancements. Provide data-driven updates to management and stakeholders on platform performance, outreach effectiveness, and user engagement outcomes.
- Take ownership of crafting and rolling out creative outreach and marketing campaigns, leveraging digital channels, media opportunities, and industry events to elevate our brand presence and attract users to our websites.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with public and private-sector institutions, actively engaging them to co-develop initiatives and drive collective action toward national sustainability goals.
- The incumbent will also have the opportunity to support sustainability advisory services provided by SBF and facilitate training programmes conducted by SBF for Singapore businesses, gaining hands-on experience in driving impactful decarbonisation outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably Business, Communications, Economics, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences/Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in project management, product development, entrepreneurship, business development/partnerships, and/or a related field. Passionate about sustainability, especially climate change. Prior experience in GHG accounting, decarbonisation projects, or understanding of ecosystem stakeholders (regulators, in-house practitioners, consultants, solution providers) is advantageous. Project management skills, including task prioritization, multitasking, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Preferably familiar with greenhouse gas accounting (e.g., GHG Protocol) and sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., ISSB).
- Adaptable and able to quickly gain proficiency in climate change issues and practices.
- Comfortable with data management and the ability to process, use, and present data effectively for decision-making.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
