About the Role

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Lead with deep expertise in U.S. carbon markets, including both voluntary and compliance schemes. This role focuses on building and managing strategic relationships with corporate clients and sustainability leaders across the United States, driving growth in high-integrity carbon solutions and supporting organizations in achieving their climate goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and close carbon credit transactions within U.S. voluntary and compliance markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate sustainability teams, ESG leaders, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and design tailored carbon solutions for clients.
  • Structure and negotiate long-term carbon deals, including complex commercial frameworks.
  • Provide consultative guidance on market dynamics, pricing, risk management, and placement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply and ensure successful delivery of carbon solutions.
  • Monitor U.S. carbon market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and present proposals, term sheets, and commercial frameworks to clients.


Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in business development or origination within sustainability and carbon markets.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. voluntary and compliance carbon markets, including key programs and standards.
  • Established network within the sustainability and ESG community in the U.S.
  • Proven ability to execute structured deals and deliver revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Nature-Based Solutions (REDD+, afforestation, reforestation).
