Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Boston, MA, for an Energy Organizer role. The Energy Organizer will engage in community outreach and mobilization efforts to advocate for sustainable energy policies and practices. Responsibilities include coordinating advocacy campaigns, collaborating with local community groups, organizing events and workshops, and providing education about clean energy solutions. The role will also involve regular communication with stakeholders, gathering feedback, and fostering partnerships to advance the Sierra Club's energy goals.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in community outreach, grassroots organizing, and building partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and educational presentation skills to engage with various audiences and promote energy initiatives.
  • Knowledge of sustainable energy policies, environmental advocacy, and climate justice issues.
  • Experience in event planning, workshop coordination, public speaking, and advocacy campaign execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, maintain a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed, and work collaboratively in team-oriented settings.
  • Proficiency with technology, including digital tools for engagement and data management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in professional and community endeavors.
