For the SCADA project support team within Offshore Engineering, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer for Operation Technology (OT), who can take a key role in designing and configuring the network solutions for the SCADA platform used in all offshore execution projects.
Tasks & responsibilities:
As one of our offshore OT Network Engineers, you will have a central role in the offshore SCADA projects, where you will contribute to deliver high technical solutions with a high focus on quality and customer satisfaction. You will be supporting in the design of the SCADA network infrastructure and be responsible for the project specific network configuration.
You will be working closely with the internal Project team, as you together, will be responsible for the design of network solutions for the wind farm infrastructure to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
You will also be working with the following tasks:
  • Establish remote connectivity to our offshore windfarms.
  • Create project specific documentation for our offshore SCADA systems and infrastructure communication, such as IP-Plans, port lists, fiber layout, network diagrams, configuration guidelines etc.
  • Active support Factory Acceptance-, Harbour Acceptance- and Site Acceptance-Tests of our offshore SCADA systems
  • Perform Support for our onsite turbine commissioning teams.
  • Contribute with constructive inputs to the continuous product development and improvements for the SGRE SCADA solutions.
Skills & experience:
You will have a relevant Background Within Network Infrastructure, IT Engineering or Cybersecurity and hold an CCNA or Similar in Combination with thorough practical experience with;
  • Data Center environments (routing, switching, firewalls). This should include Dynamic routing protocols, industrial switching protocols. Experience with fiber ring topologies is an advantage.
  • SCADA Network Infrastructure and advanced network administration.
  • Capacity to isolate, troubleshot problems and elaborate resolution plans.
  • Capacity to design and implement OT network solutions.
  • Experience in management of communication devices from different vendors. Specially Cisco products such as ISR, ASA and Catalyst switches as well as solid knowledge and experience with Palo Alto network equipment and HPe Servers.
  • Knowledge and experience with wireless network (802.11) and within Industrial Networks would be an advantage.
  • You can speak and write English fluently.
You will also have experience working with IT systems as well as knowledge of Microsoft-based technologies. In addition, you should be able to provide technical support to users with very different level of experience.
  • As part of a team which operates in a busy and rapid changing environment. It is a requirement that you can handle and cope with many parallel ongoing tasks.
  • Most importantly, you as a person, must be a team player with a “can do” mindset. You enjoy challenging yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results as a team.
  • You have good collaboration skills, and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts.
  • To thrive in this position, you are good at creating network and must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
