Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) is looking for a motivated Senior Project Manager / Project Director who is keen to play a key role in the delivery of the growing offshore wind market in Taiwan and the wider APAC region. The successful candidate will join SGRE’s growing project delivery team in Taipei contributing to the delivery of our large and exciting pipeline of projects.

The successful candidate will manage customer offshore wind projects according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, and with responsibility for results.
You will be responsible to:
  • Manage offshore wind projects with profit / loss responsibility for results, within the framework of company guidelines. Your objective will be to meet or exceed the contractual, safety, regulatory and quality requirements, thereby achieving customer satisfaction and project goals.
  • Provide excellent leadership to an international project team. Guide, support, motivate and develop team members to achieve the project and organization goals.
  • Manage the project throughout the project life cycle, mitigating the commercial and contractual risks.
  • Ensure compliance to standards, rules, regulations and SGRE’s Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g. Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS).
  • Set the necessary measures, priorities, and ethos to ensure SGRE’s zero harm policy in relation to the environment, health and safety. Ensure the project team and your subcontractors are strictly working in accordance with our safety standards.
  • Monitor milestone and adherence to budgets, and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost where necessary.
  • Maintain an excellent customer relationship through constant communication and collaboration.
  • Effectively manage key stakeholders including outside contractors, agencies, etc.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English, both written and verbally
  • Mandarin language skills are also considered beneficial but not essential to facilitate engagement with local stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or similar
  • Ideally you will have 5 years or more experience working in the energy sector or similar position and at least 10 years’ experience of managing complex projects or equivalent responsibility for sub-projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate / direct / guide / delegate with different stakeholders to achieve project objectives
  • You will also have experience working in a multicultural environment with international delivery teams and an ability / willingness to travel for business meetings, training, etc.
  • Project Management certification / Project Management at IPMA / Siemens or equivalent will be an added advantage
