Handles logistics activities in projects, in order to contribute to the success of the project by accurate and on schedule customer supply. Responsible for the specific project management of Logistics executions for Onshore projects in APAC, including but not limited:
- Review the project contract to clarify the logistics scope.
- Review the project logistics budget prior to Handover meeting from Sales to Project to clarify any questions with logistics pre-sales.
- Participate in Project Hand-over meeting from Sales to Project and clarify any questions relating to Logistics budget and operations.
- Initiate, do or attend ports surveys and route surveys with transport contractors.
- Prepare versions of the Project Logistics Management Plan, project schedule, delivery plan and Packing list basing on contractual agreements and inputs from Project Team members.
- Provide project background and technical inputs to Corporate Logistics to prepare RFQ for sea transportation.
- Prepare RFQ to Regional Procurement for inland transportation + import customs brokerage (where applicable).
- Review and make decision on Project vessel shipping awarding together with Corporate Procurement and Corporate Logistics, including the review and updating of the shipping contract with inputs from Site Manager or Project Manager.
- Review and make decision on Project inland transportation awarding with Regional Procurement and finalize inland transportation contract together with Site Manager or Project Manager and Regional Procurement.
- Initiate Logistics Kick Off meeting with internal organization and external contractors to introduce project background, logistics plan and logistics operations.
- Work with Planner, Buyer, ECC / Customs Broker, Customer to prepare the material List for the customer’s duty exemption during import clearance.
- Communicate with Logistics technical office for any technical clarification relating to logistics handling, as well as for technical drawings / instructions.
- Management and coordination of components and materials delivery from production plans to country of import and / or project site, as well as the return logistics of tools and equipment from site to factory / warehouse after completion of projects.
- Place order for Transportation Equipment (TEQ) and Logistics Tooling (LEQ) Rental and arrange delivery of LEQ to port of import accordingly
- Working with ECC team and customs broker to prepare documents (Including translations if any) for the customs clearance of Import and Export shipments.
Request Regional Procurement to send RFQ for ad-hoc services:
- Airfreight services
- Ocean freight services (FCL, LCL, Breakbulk)
- Return Logistics of tools and equipment
- Marine surveyor for vessel unloading operations
- 3rd party logistics supervisor in project country
Regular updating of logistics progress to Project Team and Line Manager.
Management and control of logistics budget, monthly “Estimated vs Actual Costs” reporting
Project Risk and Opportunity management.
Strictly adhere to and implement Company’s policy on QHSE requirements, report and lead the logistics incident and accident investigation and implement the correction plan.
Attend and supervise vessel loading/unloading, truck loading/unloading operations in the ports and wind farm sites where necessary.
Report, Investigate, Follow-up and Closing of any incidents / damage reports relating to logistics operations.
Work with Corp Procurement and Corp Logistics teams to coordinate projects shipments in APAC region.
Lead, support and improve APAC projects logistics execution to fulfill the project plan, cost control and EHS&Q target.
Coordinate and improve the flows and communication with planning, production, warehouse, commercial project manager, project manager, project director, Technical team and Corp team.
Collect and share lessons learned / experiences (both positive and negative) with other team members within the Onshore APAC Logistics organization, as well as from other Regions. Support or lead the non conformanc cost investigation.
Manage, evaluate and audit logistics contractors and suppliers.
- Any other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
