Calibration Technician

Position Overview:
- Maintenance, repair and calibration of Electrical and Hydraulic equipment, perform electrical safety test, all according to specifications and requirements. All equipment must be inspected at arrival in Equipment Centre. Needed repair and/or maintenance/calibration must be registered in internal software, and carried out according to internal, and manufacturers specification.
- The role is to ensure calibration of the tools which are going to be used for installation and the service of wind turbines.
- Working within the Calibration Lab factors to include will be working oils and lubricants, and noise whilst using some Calibration Equipment.
- Relocation may be offered for this role should it be necessary.
Responsibilities :
- The role is also to test, calibrate, operate and repair hydraulic, mechanical and electronic measuring equipment.
- Fault finding, strip down and diagnostics of defect hydraulic equipment.
- It involves working in a laboratory setting where procedures are carefully followed from start to finish of the calibration procedure.
- Testing, calibrating and maintenance/repair of hire stock of instrument, client’s equipment, laboratory equipment and any other equipment.
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills :
- Past experience is required in a Hydraulic or an Electrical profession;
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- 2 Years’ experience required
- 10-20% of time will include travel which includes training in the United Kingdom and Denmark
- Experience in Engineering is preferred
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the {United States / Canada}. Qualified applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States
Preferred Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills:
- IT Knowledge essential
- Ensure that the job function is carried out in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
- Ensure that all customers receive the documentation required.
- Support on Quality and EHS issues in cases where tools and/or equipment has been reported
- Contribute to a good and safe work environment.
- Creating Non-conformance and fault reports.
