This is a Finance/Accounting internship position for the Summer of 2023. The internship is in SGRE’s Spare Parts & Supplies (SPS) Americas Finance Team within the Service business unit. The SGRE Summer Intern Program runs from May 15 – August 11, 2023.
The intern will be responsible for a 3-month long project to analyze current material cost fluctuations for fiscal year 2023. With this analysis, as well as reviewing input and data from Procurement, the intern will calculate and propose the fixed pricing structure for all materials in fiscal year 2024. This new fixed pricing schedule will be implemented and made effective in our new fiscal year. The following

Collaborating with SPS Americas Finance team members to understand current
- Using SAP to extract material cost and price reports.
- Consolidating and analyzing numerous sets of data to determine cost fluctuations during current fiscal year.
- Business partnering with Strategic Procurement to gather and review upcoming
- Using SAP to conduct root-cause analyses of cost and pricing fluctuations
- Troubleshooting cost discrepancies related to material unit of measure issues,
- Calculating fixed prices for all materials to ensure appropriate sales margin.
- Presenting fixed price schedule of materials for upcoming fiscal year to
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and Abilities
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other
- Demonstrated ability to influence behavior and outcomes in a matrix organization where decision-making is not always clear
- Understanding of how business choices can impact financial statements (e.g., the interplay between inventory and COS)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United
authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Past work experience in Supply Chain or a Supply Chain Finance organization is a plus
- Working knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx or RPA is a plus
