How You’ll Make An Impact
- Define and modify wind turbine models for precise aeroelastic calculations.
- Perform simulations in diverse design conditions using aeroelastic codes like BHawC.
- Analyze loads and dynamics of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with control and component departments to enhance design efficiency.
- Develop and research new technologies for wind turbine modeling and validation.
- Provide support on critical problems, programming, and methods to improve processes.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Loads Engineer in wind turbine development or loads calculation.
- Strong knowledge in aerodynamics, structural design, structural dynamics, or control systems.
- Additional training in wind energy, such as a master’s degree or complementary courses, is a plus.
- Familiarity with wind turbine design standards, including IEC61400-1 and DNVGL.
- Proficiency in wind turbine load analysis using programs like GH Bladed, FLEX5, or FAST.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Spanish is a plus.
