We are looking for an experienced Contract Implementation Manager to join our dedicated team based in Germany and France, whose ultimate aim is to progress in a growing industry. You will have the opportunity to be involved in dynamic discussions in an ever-changing market, where every day is different, and every deal will bring its own, new challenges.
Supports accountable business partners in mastering contractual challenges at all stages of the project planning and execution process in close cooperation with Legal Counsel and Project Management.
This position is responsible for the successful implementation & execution of offshore contract terms and conditions. You are a key member of the project team mitigating against customer and subcontractor contract risks, and claims arising from such risks. Establish and maintain robust relationships with internal and external partners and manage all assigned ongoing claim cases with regular updates through relevant tools and with required importance and priority, conduct Claim & Contract Workshop with the project team along the project execution phases.
Some of the key areas we want you to be involved in include:
  • Manage contracts by tracking contractual obligations in order to minimize/prevent Customer claims along with looking for opportunities to claim where Customer obligations are not fulfilled.
  • Together with the Project Management Team suggest strategies, and prioritize how to mitigate against project risks – both towards Customer and Subcontractors.
  • Receive and record incoming customer documentation related to contract terms and conditions
  • Secure that contract obligations from Customer contracts are cascading down to subs-suppliers
  • Check and secure consistency of subcontractor contract terms with Customer contract terms
  • Draft official correspondence between SGRE and its and Customers
  • Assist and support making commercial change orders.
  • Be part of overall project team using your expert knowledge of the contract terms and conditions and work closely with the Project Director and the Commercial Manager.
  • Evaluate claims against contractual obligations, coordinate and document findings and formal response to such claims
  • Evaluate technical, commercial and legal aspects of claims and coordinate with relevant experts to conclude such evaluation.
  • Prepare publish and present, key data extracts, preliminary and final findings in relations to claims
  • Support customer facing contacts with written communications, meetings and face to face discussions on high value complex claim topics
  • Maintain assessment of the claim exposure and potential commercial impact of such and evaluate against any commercial provision
  • Maximize cost efficiency of claim settlements considering remedy deployment or commercial closure

  • You have a Contract or Commercial Legal or Paralegal background preferred
  • Experience in contract management and knowledge in contract structure and content assessment for large value complex projects.
  • Experience in assessment of obligations against contract requirements, preparing and publishing written responses to customer claims
  • Experience with difficult claim discussions and settlement negotiations using both written and verbal communications
  • Building and fostering close relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues
  • Capable of innovative thinking and approach to propose and deliver solutions for claim settlement and closure.
  • Experience with Uniform Commercial Code based contracts
  • MS Office proficiency required
