We are looking for an experienced and driven WTG Project Manager to join our global team in the Offshore Project Management organization at Siemens Gamesa. By joining us, you will become an essential part of a dynamic and multicultural project organization and join the core team of one of our large offshore wind projects. You will be located at our office in Gdansk, Poland.
How to contribute to our vision
As the WTG Project Manager, you are responsible for delivering the WTG Package in all project management aspects for one of our offshore windfarm projects. Your responsibilities include the on time, on budget and in high-quality delivery of the design, components, and project documentation. To achieve your goal, you handle the alignment of all turbine works between the internal and external stakeholders and are therefore a key member in the project team driving the activities. In the project, you report to the Project Director.
You lead a team of highly qualified engineering managers covering the different technical and functional aspects of delivering our wind turbines in industry-defining safety and quality, planning precision and to our customers’ full satisfaction.
The job requires you to support and develop your team with your experience and confidence, keeping the overview about priorities, acting as one to reach the project’s goals, getting further stakeholders to contribute and proactively following up on any lose ends or potential gaps in execution.
The WTG PM role is challenging and rewarding, and it provides many opportunities for personal and professional development beyond the levels you have already accomplished. You will be part of the Global WTG Project Management team in which we support each other to fulfill our duties within all projects, establish best practices and tackle project independent challenges together.
What you need to make a difference
You are passionate for renewable energy and have a sense for the importance to make real what matters and lead the change.
We are looking for you to hold a relevant university degree, coupled with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in an international industrial company. Ideally, your experience includes project, engineering, or fabrication management. You have excelled in your area of expertise, were able to show first potential in leadership and are ready to grow and broaden your horizon managing several engineering disciplines and interests in the project.
You have a driven personality and are known to proactively follow up to make things happen. You are systematic, enabling you to manage a range of complex project requirements, risks, and costs within the given timeline. You communicate clearly and reach firm agreements with stakeholders. You can lead a team of qualified individuals and are capable to inspire confidence and a sense of pride and achievement into what you accomplish as a team.
You are comfortable using a variety of IT systems to fulfill different aspects of your scope (e.g. design system, project documentation, cost management). Your English skills are excellent, both orally and in writing; business level Polish is considered an advantage.
