We are looking for our new Manager heading our Tools and Logistic Center who will be located in Esbjerg, Denmark. The equipment center is the backbone of NE&ME region tooling business for Onshore Wind Farms.
You will be responsible of the management of all logistics operations of the warehouse and different storage locations supplying installation equipment to the different Onshore NE&ME sites; as well as the maintenance/technical support, further improving and renting out/inventory/packing/receiving of installation equipment to and from the windfarm sites.
Equivalent to the tools needed for the construction phase, the second areas of responsibility is management of the logistic/transportation of equipment.

Here you will make decisions about your organization up to agreed limits and execute within required time, budget, and quality – additionally Manage resources and ensure competence.
You will further develop and implement efficient forms of organization and increase profitability – reacting flexible and open to new business opportunities and changes.
You will set up proper planning for the material flow and resources, technical expertise, and operational structures. Additionally, deploy equipment related strategy according to superior strategy and contribute to overarching programs and initiatives.
You will provide input to management and prepare analysis on all topic related to equipment centers.
Ensuring the implementation of standards, regulations, guidelines, and efficiency of all operations.
You will act as the role model for the safety and quality culture, driving quality assurance including non-compliance reporting and actively focus on health and safety.
This considers the equipment center in Esbjerg itself, but also development/operation of the equipment. Further you take care of effective risk management measures and construction/logistic equipment related KPIs.
More so, you contribute and support procurement in the selection process of subcontractors for the required tools and carry out the technical/quality and operational clarifications with your team, setting the basis to confirm delivery within specifications and data to support the claiming process.
You will be responsible to manage the transition from an inventory-based warehouse management to an extended warehouse management and develop align all related processes and flows accordingly.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
You have a senior profile with 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and at least 5 years of experience with leadership track record – ideally you have work experience from a comparable business.
You carry strong leadership skills and are capable of inspiring performance of employees (within and out of own organization) through both formal and informal means.
In this position you will have to navigate through ambiguous situations and must be an effective communicator with strong managerial skills towards each team leads, as well as the warehouse staff. Additionally, being able to create compelling statements to staff members, peers, and executives.

Your academic background is Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in Logistics/Quality Processes, Warehouse Management; Engineering or similar) or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Good technical insight on tooling, both standard tools and more complex tools are required.
You have a good knowledge and understanding of budget planning, both for CAPEX and OPEX, a high focus on invoicing/payments on time and costs sensitivity. You should have a solid experience in managing contract coupled with a strong business acumen.
Preferable you bring or you can show that you can establish good relationships with equipment suppliers.
You should have a holistic view on things and our business – being open for change while also actively challenging the status quo. At the same time, you can manage ad hoc tasks being solution oriented.
As a person you are self-driven and persistent, while also being open and communicative. It makes you happy to create a culture of trust, a sustainable team and a good work environment.
You hold good knowledge in MS Office and SAP, and you are open to new IT tools and warehouse applications.
You are fluent in English and good in Danish.
