For our Offshore Equipment Material Management department, we are looking for a Head of Warehouse Operations for our ever-growing location of Equipment Centers (warehouses and logistics) worldwide.
Offshore Equipment Material Management is an internal service provider responsible for all equipment required for transporting, installing, and servicing of the wind turbines all over the world.
The Equipment Centers are located in Denmark, United Kingdom, Taiwan and soon US. In total, Material Management employs over 60 dedicated people striving towards delivering world class services ensuring that tools and equipment for the wind power projects are available when needed. Over half of the employees are working in our central location in Esbjerg, DK and this is where the role will be based.
Material Management is part of the offshore Equipment Operations organization, which is involved through the full value chain, from designing, manufacturing to final installation and service of wind turbines all over the world. The Head of Warehouse Operations will report directly to the Head of Equipment Operations.
How to contribute to our vision
As a Head of Warehouse Operations, you will be:
- Overall responsible for the global location of Equipment Centers, including combined personnel management with the Team Leads in those regions
- Overall responsible for ensuring all commitments made to our internal stakeholders are upheld
- Ensure a consistent and transparent approach is taken across all Equipment Centers
- Overall responsible for and with high focus on Health & Safety Management, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained and all safety related KPI’s and reporting standards are strictly adhered to
- Ensure fulfillment of business performance KPIs including continuous review and improvement
- Overall responsible for supplier, customer and Real Estate negotiations and orders
- Overall responsible for accurate forecasting of resources and cost center budgets
- Overall responsible for developing, implementing, and improving warehouse logistics and supply chain operations globally by employing lean principles and continuously improving safety practices
- Identify and delivery on significant cost saving opportunities
- Ensure business and compliance procedures are consistently maintained and applied across the regions
- Provide leadership, training and coaching to motivate and mentor employees
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…
- Strong leadership profile with understanding of the Offshore Equipment business, displaying excellent leadership, collaboration and communications skills in a large, multi-national team
- Significant experience and understanding of warehouse, logistics and quality management in the Offshore, Manufacturing or Construction environment
- Experience of working in an ISO environment and having ERP skills (SAP) and MS Office
- You can organize your own work to ensure all deadlines are met and responding in a timely manner to information requests from other areas of the business. Furthermore you are able to give input to strategic ideas and suggestions for improvements within the role and the department
- You are detail-oriented, result-oriented and an excellent communicator
