How to contribute to our vision
The role of the EHS Manager in Factory (EMiF) provides direct support to the Factory Manager
and has the authority to define the required local EHS arrangements to meet and enable
implementation of global EHS requirements and to ensure these are communicated and
understood by the management team and operational execution teams e.g., Group Leads. Further,
the EMiF monitors and reports on the implementation of the HSE Management System and local
EHS performance against established EHS Key Performance Indicators.
A non-exhaustive list of responsibilities is set out as follows:
- Act as a role model to encourage and promote responsible attitudes towards health, safety, and the environment.
- Provide visible, strong, and active leadership, coaching and mentoring for operational management personnel including those in a Supervisory or Setting to Work capacity.
- Support the implementation of SGRE’s EHS management system based on a systematic approach to risk to establish factory specific priorities and performance standards.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are recorded, reported to the Factory Manager / into the HSE IT Tool and investigated in accordance with the company accident and reporting procedures, and that all corrective actions are identified, implemented, and reviewed.
- Ensure the compliance of the factory with all applicable EHS requirements from a local legislation and SGRE perspective.
- Ensure availability, control, and timely update of the core site EHS documentation such as Safe Systems of Work, Emergency Response Plan, EHS Plan etc.
- Collaborate with COG EQS GOV-OPS and EMiF’s from other sites on HSE troubleshooting and improvements.
- Monitor how effectively EHS risks are being controlled, and how well they are developing a positive EHS culture with action plans developed and managed e.g., Factory specific TRIR Reduction Plan
- Ensure contractors / visitors attending site are managed according to EHS requirements.
- Ensure that EHS records and reports e.g., scheduled inspections are completed in a timely manner, communicated as required and findings / deviations acted upon, maintained, and updated as and when necessary and are available for inspection.
- Where necessary, to liaise and consult with relevant external authorities and organizations.
- Support the Factory Manager & local Management team in delivering EHS related communications, safety improvement initiatives.
- Encourage and proactively contribute to local EHS meetings / briefings.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for:
- You possess a bachelor’s degree
- You are an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist / Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (Sifa)
- You have previous professional experience in a similar position
- Leadership experience would be beneficial
- You have strong communication skills and are self-driven
- You have experience working with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn is really important
- You are fluent in English and German
