Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy now has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Project Controller to join a dynamic and busy team due to growth in the business. We are looking for a motivated accounting professional to become part of our Project Controlling Team, predominantly supporting execution of the Onshore Wind Farm Service projects in India and Sri Lanka.
What are my responsibilities?
Project Controllers are the financial partner to the Commercial Project Manager as well as the wider operational project team. Aspects of Cost Controlling, Forecasting, Budgeting, Accounting, Billing and Reporting all fall within the scope of the Project Controlling Team.
In this role you will be responsible for providing clear, accurate and insightful analysis on the financial aspects of your projects, in order to aid the Project team in maximising both operational and financial performance. You will be involved in process improvement to optimise processes across the team.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
You will have experience of working in a similar role, ideally in a large and complex organisation. You will have a good understanding and practical experience of accounting principles month end processes, project finance and periodic financial work. You will have excellent IT skills, be an advanced user of Excel and ideally have some experience of working with SAP.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in a diverse and multi-cultural environment with stakeholder interaction across multiple remote sites.
