We are looking for a Senior Lean Project Manager to join our dynamic and engaged Operational Excellence (OE) team which is part of Global Operations in the Service Business Unit of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
The role of Senior Lean Project Manager is to ensure that each regional organization have the appropriate work processes and lean tools in place for doing planned and unplanned service activities and that these are standardized and continuously improved. You will be expected to both facilitate and participate in the development, improvement, and implementation of the various optimizations within Service. There is approximately 30-50% travel required within the role for visiting regional offices and sites globally.

How to contribute to our vision
The key tasks of this role are:
  • Coaching and training of employees in lean methodologies on our Jack Up vessels and onshore for main component exchanges.
  • Mapping and analyzing service work related to our fleet for on/offshore using video-based optimization tools & value stream mapping tools.
  • Developing and implementing lean tools for main component exchanges.
  • Facilitate technical changes to tooling and setup for main component exchange together with back office and technicians.
  • Detecting and keeping an overview of potential improvement areas
  • Initiating and leading optimization projects related to main component exchange with relevant stakeholder.
  • Ensuring knowledge sharing and use of best practice across Service Operations Supporting the development and implementation of the lean roadmap within Service Operation.
  • Ensuring knowledge sharing and use of best practice across Vessels and onshore sites.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the lean roadmap for main component exchanges offshore & onshore.

What you need to make a difference
Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for:

A motivating team player, who is resilient, responsible, and structured with excellent communication skills. You interact with stakeholders high and low in the organization as well as external stakeholders. You are motivated by providing quality results within the deadlines and are happy to work in a dynamic organization and environment.
You have a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Construction, or Logistics Engineering and profound knowledge of lean methodologies, combined with at least 7+ years practical experience in project management, lean management, and the implementation of changes within the field of manufacturing, logistics, plant service or construction. Experience in the wind energy business will be deemed an advantage.

As a person, you have an analytical and structured mindset as well as a result and quality-oriented approach to your work. Furthermore, you are a dedicated team player with strong problem solving and leadership skills. You are a curious and want to learn and contribute in the organization. Moreover, you are and experienced user of MS Office applications. It is advantage you have previous experience with SAP.
It is a big advantage if you thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations. It is therefore important that you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
