For the Digital Foundation & Infrastructure Core IT Platform Services team located in Brande, Denmark we are looking for a person to take a key role in the design and maintenance of the Server solutions for our SCADA platform used globally in all SGRE Plants.
The Digital Foundation & Infrastructure Core IT Platform Services team is part of the Business Unit Service and consists of a group of dedicated employees. The team is responsible for the IT platform used for our SCADA platform.
How to contribute to our vision
As an Infrastructure Developer you are responsible for the Backup and Restore product architecture and deployment, which is used for protecting the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SCADA system. You will be a part of a team which operates in a busy and rapid changing environment. It is therefore a requirement that you can handle and cope with many parallel ongoing tasks.
You will mainly work in projects introducing new Backup and Restore solutions but also maintain existing ones. Some of the tasks and responsibilities you can expect to be involved in include:
- Optimization of security solutions on our platforms
- Automation of installation through PowerShell , Chef or Ansible.
- Windows Server 2019, Linux distributions and VMware.
- CI/CD environment (Gitlab, Jenkins, Jfrog, SCRUM/SAFe…)
- Component owner tasks – test, verification, compliance documentation and product releases, training material, procedures and processes
Additionally, you will participate on 2/3 Level support for IT technicians located in Onshore, Offshore and Service.
What you need to make a difference
A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for someone, who is highly motivated to learn more about technology and security.
You have a technical background as Data technician or an education within computer science or engineering, combined with 5 – 10 years of experience within IT or industrial IT.
We expect you to have knowledge on Infrastructure components, servers and network, virtualization (VMware), server operating systems (Microsoft/Linux), scripting (PowerShell/Bash) as well as in-depth knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication used preferably in an OT environment. This latter includes solution architecting, as well as deployment and administration of the Backup and Restore solution.
Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach. Knowledge about SAFe and PI planning would be a plus.

You have a structured and result-oriented approach to your work and can keep a sense of perspective during hectic situations.
