Position Overview:
  • We are recruiting for a Service and Maintenance Technician which includes Lifting and Transport Equipment to join our Tools Equipment Management Warehouse within SGRE.
  • We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to work in a friendly team environment responsible for inspecting, registering and maintaining lifting equipment while performing essential servicing, repairs and electrical safety tests to manufacturer’s specification.
  • This is a varied role where thorough training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • We are looking for candidates who has a proven track record of delivering inspection and maintenance in a service environment.
  • This role will have full training provided with the relevant GWO Courses.
  • Relocation may be offered for this position should it be necessary.
Responsibilities :
  • Inspection and registration of existing/new lifting equipment.
  • Perform document maintenance, installation, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and instrumentation systems.
  • Periodical service of lifting equipment
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others within HSE best practice.
  • Electrical Safety Tests
  • Be a part of a 24/7 on call service from the department
  • Assemble & disassemble of transport equipment
  • Be a part of the one stop shop team
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills :
  • You must work well as part of a team and as an individual, as there will be an expectation to become self-sufficient and manage your daily activities.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with other colleagues, supervisors, managers and departments.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanics with experience of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to read/understand procedures/specifications/ drawings/sketches/diagrams etc.
  • PC literate and able to use MS office applications.
  • Demonstrates a logical problem-solving approach to all breakdowns and issues.
  • Possess previous equipment maintenance experience including breakdown support, fault finding, repair and process improvement.
