In our new Offshore Tools and Equipment organization, we are now searching for Value Engineers. The main goal for the person in this role will be to secure that we achieve the right cost level for all our future equipment needs. It is important to have a good technical understanding along side experience from Supply Chain or Procurement for this position.
How to contribute to our vision
The responsibility to manage and deliver equipment to support installation projects globally is within our Offshore Tools and Equipment organization. The team owns the full operational value chain; hence they are present in all main equipment decisions from scoping, design to execution of installation projects. A special effort is put on safety and securing high uptime of the equipment throughout its lifetime through an integrated feedback loop, linking the use of equipment to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs.
As Value Engineer you will be part of the Equipment road mapping, which means making sure that the right cost level is there for each tool or equipment needed to successfully complete our projects within budget. Your role is a key one since you will be the person to identify key cost drivers and monitor the process for all current and future equipment. In doing this, you will create and maintain the cost-out strategy. In maintaining this you may arrange or participate in cost-out workshops with equipment and installation teams.
Due to the nature of the role, you will naturally be working closely with our Procurement organization to align on suppliers and market trends. You will also work closely with the operational constructions teams on equipment implementation to secure the best ideas are captured. Additionally, you will support and drive business specific cases for equipment design and use together with relevant stakeholders.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
You have an understanding for both commercial and technical aspects and your analytical mindset comes with the agility to find solutions between different parties and interests. Ideally you have more than 2 years of experience in the area of cost management and / or similar process from Procurement / Engineering. Preferably from the wind industry or similar larger scale industry manufacturer.
You will need to feel comfortable to develop a large network in a multicultural and dynamic environment, where you must be able to establish trust while driving the organization in terms of cost consciousness and approaching topics with a critical mindset. You have a strong technical mindset and enjoy working analytical with your tasks. As a person, you are an outgoing communicative individual who values collaboration and take charge in hectic situations and possess the ability to maintain an overview while helping the team as coordinator. You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
