Fully responsible for successful execution of Engineering Bid Projects.
The Project Manager manages projects with responsibility for successful execution:
  • Executes the project within the defined requirements (e.g. budget, time, functionality).
  • Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer and ensures professional stakeholder management.
  • Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
In the context of Engineering:
  • Manages a network of technical specialists in order to prepare bids for customer specific components, systems or solutions.
  • Coordinates the Engineering disciplines and the cooperation with involved regional Engineering units including their interfaces.
  • Performs technical risk management.
  • Acts as interface to PM@Siemens, e.g. responsible for technical risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities:
As our new Technical Sale Specialist, you will be responsible for mechanical deliverables in the sales phase related to Rotor & Nacelle Assembly (RNA) for current and new offshore direct drive turbines.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Analyze, review and comment customer technical requirements in sales phase related to Blades, Hub, Generator and Backend to ensure lean project executability
  • Participate in contract review and client negotiation meetings with internal & external stake holders regarding RNA scope
  • Contribute to technical risk assessment and mitigation prior to contract signature
  • Respond to technical queries and option pricing requests from customers or technical sales managers regarding RNA scope
  • Identify & involve right internal stake holders to facilitate correct decisions during acquisition phase
  • Collaborate efficiently with internal product management and development team experts
  • Clearly identify and define strategy to exclude deviations /No- Go items related to RNA scope during review phase to minimize commercial exposure
  • Maintain lesson learnt repository against each sales project
  • Handover of technical sales documents & agreements to RNA execution team & support them with necessary clarifications during initial execution phase

Desired Qualification and experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical / Mechatronics engineering etc.,
  • 5- 12 years’ experience in technical sales support / bid management /sales application engineering from mechanical product related industries (pumps / turbines (wind, steam, hydro) / compressor etc.)
  • Must have handled multiple projects being part of technical sales activities.
  • Must have had global technical sales experience, working with various cross-functional teams globally
  • Must have had cross-functional experience working with various cross-functional teams globally
  • Strong ability to lead technical discussions with customers, negotiate contracts with optimal technical specifications/requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with technicians and Chief Engineers (all levels)
  • Strong, analytic, and decision-making skills
  • Possess strong positive attitude, self-initiative, responsible and ownership mindset
