As an experienced Structural Engineer, the position is vital for executing numerous structural engineering tasks critical to the project's long-term success in the Nacelles Hub and Generator Analysis team. To meet these objectives, we are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to deliver robust design and analysis solutions for wind turbine generator and cooling components. This role involves advanced structural modelling, simulation, and problem-solving, along with ownership of project deliverables and contribution to team development.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Generator analysis team is highly enthusiast team of specialist in structural, thermal, data analysts. This team mainly focus on structural and thermal integrity of the direct drive offshore generator and associated auxiliary systems and component designs. This team provides thermal and structural solutions, analyse results, support in testing of the generator, data analysis of the prototype wind turbine and generator performance test.

To meet these objectives, we are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to deliver robust design and analysis solutions for wind turbine generator and cooling components. This role involves advanced structural modelling, simulation, and problem-solving, along with ownership of project deliverables and contribution to team development.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Performs structural analysis of direct drive generator components as per requirement for its structural integrity and propose design solution based on FEA simulations.
- Proficient in analysis tools with the ability to independently solve complex problems, alongside strong communication and documentation skills for successful project delivery.
- Perform advanced structural analysis and simulations - static structural, dynamic, model analysis, vibro-acoustics of generator systems to evaluate structural integrity.
- Analyse and interpret test data and simulation results to provide design recommendations and solve complex structural problems.
- Ensure timely execution within scope, quality, and project constraints.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Drive improvements in analysis methodologies, tools, and engineering processes.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality systems, and documentation practices.
- Mentor and review work of junior engineers, providing technical guidance.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders.
- Drive technical solutions and reviews with internal design team and multiple sub-suppliers and solution providers
- 6 - 9 years of experience in Structural Design & Analysis
- Strong fundamentals of structural engineering, documentation and high technical understanding.
- Experience in structural design of mechanical components (large castings, welded structures and forged components).
- Good understanding of HCF/LCF and fracture mechanics
- Experience In analytical calculations of bolted/welded constructions
- Experience in definition of contacts, Nonlinear analysis, Buckling Analysis etc.
- Exposure to International standards on safety and mechanical design.
- Experience in failure and Root cause Analysis.
- Simulation & Tools
- Build and validate high-quality FEA models using industry-standard tools.
- Apply strong expertise in ANSYS Workbench and APDL for complex simulations.
- Utilize MATLAB/Python for automation, data processing, and advanced analysis.
- Leverage data analysis techniques to enhance design insights.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- An outgoing person with good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Process oriented and structured, attention to details, handle complex projects.
- Work with ease in cross cultural environment.
