A Snapshot of Your Day

You will perform advanced power system studies and grid compliance assessments for renewable energy and offshore wind projects, ensuring robust, reliable, and compliant power system designs.

The role involves modelling, simulation, benchmarking, and validation across onshore and offshore systems, using industry-standard tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD, and MATLAB/Simulink. You will collaborate with global engineering and product teams to support design, grid integration, and New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Perform power system studies including load flow, short-circuit, stability, harmonic, and EMT analysis
  • Ensure grid code compliance and support grid integration for WTG and PPC systems
  • Develop, benchmark, and validate simulation models and support NPD and customer projects
  • Use tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD, and MATLAB/Simulink for simulations and analysis
  • Automate simulation and reporting processes using Python, C, or C++ and contribute to CI/CD workflows
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and customer deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate study outcomes into engineering design and project execution

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in grid studies and grid compliance for renewable energy projects
  • Hands-on experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD/EMTDC, and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience in Load Flow, Short Circuit, Dynamic Stability, Harmonic, Frequency Domain, and EMT/Transient studies
  • Programming and automation experience using Python, C, or C++
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
  • Experience working on offshore wind or large-scale renewable integration projects
  • Familiarity with grid code requirements across different regions
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and GitHub-based workflows for engineering tools
  • Exposure to New Product Development (NPD) programs
