Defines and maintains PLM processes in coordination with process owners. Contributes to continuous improvement activities.
* Sets up an appropriate communication structure including reporting contents and project metrics. * Ensures availability of standardized processes, metrics and tools including benchmark and maturity models e.g. CMMI, Six Sigma, Lean. * Develops comprehensive descriptions and training for relevant personnel. * Supports the R&D Project Managers in their setup, tools and methods.
For our TE DEM (Digital Engineering) Technical Business Architecture team, we are looking for strong hands-on experience in PLM processes and tools who would be responsible of ensuring the right processes for Platform and modules in ON/OF TE using Teamcenter, providing technical support and training and having the right communication channels with the main stakeholders
Roles & Responsibilities include:
  • Provide business architecture support and solutions to the projects initiated and driven by the Digital Engineering team collaborating with other cross functional teams from across the SGRE product value chain (engineering teams, manufacturing, services and IT etc.,)
  • Establish/improve PLM processes and the Teamcenter system, through facilitation of requirements analysis. Delivering as necessary system, process or data model level specification documentation, development support and controlled change implementation activities
  • Establish/improve Business reporting and data insights from PLM systems
  • Provide governance support for PLM CAD data management and applications
  • Provide support aligning with various PLM application and process road maps
  • Lead a team of ~15 engineers based in Bangalore, for TE Digital Engineering team
  • Provide guidance and support to Power BI team, to be able to access required PLM datasets
  • Oversee and perform pre-UAT and UAT as needed for TC releases and upgrades
  • Collaborate proactively within DEM and across all business teams, establishing clear and consistent communication with stakeholders.
  • Active participation in the department meetings, ensuring information flow and flagging of issues, contributing to the team and department goals

Desired Qualification and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
  • ~10 years of experience in development/supporting PLM/CAD tools – experience in managing Team Center and NX is must
  • Strong experience in PLM processes
  • Experience in projects involving migration between different CAD systems
  • Hand on experience in managing TC/NX upgrades and releases
  • Experience in mechanical design within Teamcenter environment, is a plus
  • Have experience in TC SAP workflows
  • Working knowledge in VBA scripting, is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various cross functional teams
  • Strong, analytic and decision-making skills
  • Possess strong positive attitude, self-initiative, responsible and ownership mindset
