Service Technician Renewable Energy (Wind)
An exciting opportunity has become available for Wind Farm Service Technician to join our dynamic team helping to transform New Zealand’s electricity supply at our Harapaki Wind Farm in Hawkes Bay. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the scheduled preventative service and maintenance work completed on the wind turbine generators are executed on time exceeding specifications and quality requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Turbine troubleshooting and repairs
  • Lifting equipment and mobile cranes
  • General turbine housekeeping
  • Implementing organized retrofits
  • Continual turbine maintenance including blade and generator servicing
  • Maintaining all service records and checklists
  • 24 hour on call assistance based upon a rotating roster
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Completed electrical or mechanical qualifications or trade certificates
  • Substantial experience in technical troubleshooting
  • An NZ Electrical registration ( or hold EST qualification)
  • Strong safety mindset
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and ability to build sound working relationships. You will also need to be able to self-manage and bring a positive attitude to work.
