Then we are looking for you! At Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) department and HSE Greek organization we are seeking for an experienced, innovative, self-driven HSE Professional.
How to contribute to our vision
As an HSE Professional in Service, you would support the Service Operation Manager in Greece and has the overall authority for defining HSE arrangements and ensuring these are communicated to the management team and site execution teams. You would support monitor and report on the implementation of the HSE Plan, HSE Management System and HSE performance and local requirements.
This position requires approximately 30% of worktime travelling. The location is Athens, Greece.
We expect you to support the subregion Head of HSE to determine appropriate HSE strategy and set objectives and targets for the development of HSE and ensure the continued integration of a culture of Zero. You will also ensure compliance with all HSE requirements from customer contract, local legislation and SGRE.
Next, a non-exhaustive list of functions and responsibilities:
- Ensure availability and control of the site HSE plan and other required HSE documentation, of detailed HSE process and procedures description for fulfilling HSE requirements.
- Monitor the fulfillment of targeted KPIs for the sites and develop appropriate action plans if needed.
- Guide HSE personnel on site regarding best practices and collaborate HSE troubleshooting.
- Ensure that all relevant incidents are investigated, and actions are implemented in timely manner.
- Foster proactive approach to HSE with all core team members.
- Liaise with the site management team regarding implementation of HSE related topics.
- Develop HSE reports including KPI analysis and contractors’ performance.
- Ensure contractors are managed according to HSE procedures.
- Develop a site HSE Kick-off meeting with all site personnel involved: SGRE, contractors and customer.
- Ensure HSE inspections are planned and executed.
- Identify, manage, and involve HSE relevant site stakeholders in case of significant deviations.
- Ensure proper investigations and corrective actions definition for all HSE related incidents.
- Encourage and contribute to site follow-up HSE meetings.
- Support the site closure with client.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
We are looking for a candidate with preferably experience in operational HSE, international HSE legislation and industry standards / guidelines with a degree in engineering or similar field.
You should be a naturally confident speaker and love the flexibility and challenges that the role offers you. You should be fluent in Greek and English (a third language as Spanish is a plus).
We expect technical understanding of wind turbines, scope of works relating to Maintenance, understanding of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 frameworks. We also expect knowledge of contract management, contractual frameworks and understanding / appreciation of commercial aspects impacting on Projects.
IT literacy is essential with familiarity in using software such as Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and document storage system such as SharePoint.
