Great opportunity is here for you with an exciting career development as member of the global management team! In our NPI blade manufacturing global department, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated leader for our Manufacturing Innovation Center (MIC) department.

As Head of the NPI MIC department you will have the opportunity to lead a highly skilled and diverse team. Our MIC team is highly experienced in leading the manufacturing activities for the introduction of new blades. The MIC department is in the strategic position to launch and mature the initial prototype and Pre-production blades before the production is rolled out to the factories. Furthermore, new technologies will be matured in the MIC department. Manufacturing expert engineers, technician and shopfloor operators work closely with the PM and project teams, planning and executing the start of production for the initial blades.
Due to the exciting complexity of our high-profile projects and production requirement, a highly skilled profile is required to lead the department. Effective and constructive communication, entrepreneurial attitude and hands-on approach is required for the ideal candidate for this position to manage the cooperation among the stakeholders. Structured and detailed mindset is equally required to secure proper production planning activities.
As Head of the department and in alignment with the NPI management team, you will actively develop and set the strategy of the department, set targets & KPIs for the department and team members, develop your team, and assure that the agreed performance goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Key partner to the Blade projects where production hands on is required such introduction of new blade and start production in new factory
  • Plan and execute production start up for prototypes and pre-production units, including securing production resources and technology transfers. Assuring that all necessary activities, material, equipment, tools and facility are ready on time for start-up.
  • In close cooperation with the PMs, proactively secure the production line/location to start the manufacturing of prototypes according to project schedule.
  • Hold special technical production expertise knowledge and experience with capability to train new colleagues.
  • Proactively engage with the factories planning the necessary activities for the production line/s
  • Ensure implementation of corporate approved NPI policies, guidelines and tools for the NPI MIC department.
  • Partner with the PMO department & management with business case evaluation, feasibility study.
  • Support concept design, design review by review and approve layout, capex, capacity, routing, ramp up plan.
Requirements:
  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
  • Promote a culture of safety, trust, empowerment and ownership
  • Proven record for People Management (min. 5 years).
  • Proven record for leading manufacturing production team will be a benefit in the evaluation.
  • You have proven experience in managing many different stakeholders and interfaces, internally as well as externally and succeeding in setting and executing long term strategies.
  • You are knowledgeable within resource planning and budgeting.
  • As a person you are open-minded, positive, proactive, motivating, and self-determined.
  • You take responsibility for your work; you value people and you possess strong strategic mindset to constructively motivate the team.
  • Office location in Aalborg, Denmark – MUST!
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • University degree or equivalent significant experience in manufacturing and engineering activities.
  • Deep understanding planning, set up and start up production
  • Solid skills in communicating & reporting to senior management figures enabling to manage several reporting lines, functional and disciplinary.
  • Strong management and communication skills at every level to drive change in a complex organization in a collaborative approach
  • Strong understanding and interest in cross-organization coordination and governance with a heavy customer focus/sensitivity
  • Experienced in managing and maneuvering in multi-cultural teams in global organizational set up.
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear and impactful communications (oral and written) to peers and management in an appropriate and timely fashion
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects, reporting progress and working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems
  • Excellent English skills both orally and in writing
