Commissioning Engineer for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) - DC Protection
Position title: Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d) for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Transmission
In our HVDC Protection Team, we are testing and verifying the hardware and software for our
innovative HVDC Projects in our Test Center and ensure proper functionality and good quality of our
HVDC Plants worldwide during commissioning. Our diverse and multinational teams are working
closely together with project management, engineering as well as with end customers to provide
customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.

- DC Protection (DCP)
In our HVDC Protection Team, we are testing and verifying the hardware and software for our
innovative HVDC Projects in our Test Center and ensure proper functionality and good quality of our
HVDC Plants worldwide during commissioning. Our diverse and multinational teams are working
closely together with project management, engineering as well as with end customers to provide
customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- You will actively advance the Energy Transition by bringing our HVDC projects to a successful
- You are part of a project team in Integration Testing and you carry out Functional Tests of the
- You independently trace bugs and support our Software Engineering in debugging
- You are responsible for the execution and documentation of the Functional Performance Tests
Acceptance Tests in one of our test centers
- You will be responsible for the commissioning of the Measuring System, the DC Protection
motivated team, at our customers sites worldwide
- You will support our Commissioning Management in Quality, Risk and Claim Management
What You Bring
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable education /
- Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: project planning and testing via
- Knowledge or ideally working experience in the field of Electrical Engineering and
- Knowledge in Current- and Voltage Measuring devices and other primary equipment
- Fluent English language skills, further language skills are very welcome
- Willingness for worldwide business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction
- Teamplayer, communicative, proactive, positive handling of conflicts, decision-making
