About the Role Location United States of America Texas Houston Company Siemens Energy, Inc. Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Market & Business Development Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Early Professional Position Overview Candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, recording of as found conditions, and reassembly of reciprocating, turbo compressor, & steam turbine equipment. Work as part of a team within a team to ensure that all projects are completed safely, correctly and meet or beat customer expectations.   • Compressor disassembly, cleaning, and inspection including the accurate collection and recording of technical inspection data for equipment repair proposals. Maintaining clear and concise daily work records and job logs.
  • Use of basic problem-solving skills in terms of gathering facts, analyzing the cause and selecting the best most accurate solution.
  • Maintenance of equipment and regular daily housekeeping to ensure an organized and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for following of all safe work practices, Siemens-Energy safety and quality policies and procedures during normal daily operations.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-5 years of mechanical experience or a combination of technical training and hands-on work preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings, repair manuals, and shop sketches, working knowledge of reciprocating/turbo compressors and steam turbines.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, gauges); must provide personal tools and instruments for general machine shop use.
  • Capable of lifting 25 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation, for extended periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math, computer, and word processing abilities.
  • Valid state driver's license required; must be willing and able to travel as needed
Other Key Requirements
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests
  • Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
  • Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-th-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the are of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.
