- Supervise and lead all production activities performed by all manufacturing personnel while maintaining a high degree of visibility and access to staff throughout a specific department & shift.
- Train and develop employees in accordance to plant procedures. Give instructions to employees regarding jobs to be completed and the proper method in which to complete them.
- Supervise plant for cleanliness, safety, quality control and optimum production. Maintain quality standards while taking appropriate corrective action measures to resolve deficiencies. Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
- Confer with other supervisors and communicate with peers, subordinates and management in a professional manner to assure assignments are being completed. Provide motivation, support and mentorship to all employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations for production employees.
- Carry out Siemens Gamesa rules, policies and procedures with employees. Investigate incidents to determine root cause.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related education and/or training. 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing operations industry with managerial/supervisory oversight preferred; prior experience in glass fiber manufacturing, auto body finishing and detailing, injection mold/vacuum saturation helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of wind turbines preferred.
- Ability to work off shift and weekends when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and supervise activities of personnel and determine work assignments. Ability to lead and empower production staff.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
