Summary: The Accounting Clerk role is a position split between accounting functions, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting activities. This role supports daily transactional processing, reconciliations, and administrative accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records and efficient operations, while staying compliant with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and flexible in supporting multiple areas of the accounting function.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Accounts Receivable with collections as needed
  • Assist with general Accounts Payable functions, including account maintenance, reconciliations, and documentation support
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
  • Prepare, review, and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with other balance sheet reconciliations; identify, investigate, and resolve reconciling items
  • Provide administrative support for Navan and Capital One, including user administration, account maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounting records
  • Assist accountants or finance managers with audits and special projects
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures
  • Handle additional ad hoc accounting requests as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • 13 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical role preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
